the Howlin’ Brothers concert at South Church on Saturday, October 1st.

10/01/2016

Now that there is a little nip in the night air, and the kids are back in school, there are some routines we can all rely on.  If you’re looking for a wonderful evening to punctuate the workweek, check out the Howlin’ Brothers concert at South Church on Saturday, October 1st.  The doors open at 7 pm, and the concert starts at 7:30, with Ben Moskey.  Ben is a Class of ’16 student at Granby Memorial High School, and he will bring his own blend of songs and acoustical and electric guitar as the opening act.

If you are not familiar with Howlin’ Brothers (even though they were here a couple of years ago for a show), they describe their sound to be like what would happen if a bunch of Appalachian punk rockers formed a jug band.  Their high energy show will get you toe-tapping and dancing in your seat (or near your chair!)   Check out their website at www.howlinbrothers.com.  You can also visit the South Church website for more information at www.southchurchgranby.org.

South Church, at 242 Salmon Brook Street, in Granby, is family friendly, fully accessible and has plenty of free parking.  Homemade desserts and refreshments will be available for purchase before and during intermission.  All funds raised go to support the mission and goals of South Congregational Church.  Tickets are $15 in advance, and $17 on the night of the show.  Tickets can be reserved by calling Arlene at 860 916 5066, or at purchased at www.eventbrite.com

We’d love to see you!
