The Hartford women's basketball team is coming off of a 20-12 overall season and are looking to return to the postseason after making its fifth straight appearance with last season's second round game in the postseason WNIT. The
Hawks return their top-two leading scorers, seniors Erica Beverly and Diana Delva. Delva led the Hawks, averaging 11.7 points-per-game. Beverly returns after averaging 11.1 points per game and leading the Hawks at 7.2 rebounds-per-game. Beverly enters her senior season as one of 31 candidates for the Wooden Award, the most prestigious award presented to a women's
basketball player each year. The women's team willplay 14 home games in 2009-10, the most ever in the last 10 years. Highlighting the home schedule is the 2009 national runner-up Louisville, one of six 2009 NCAA Tournament participants.
