CROP CIRCLES: THE QUEST FOR TRUTH

Reviewed by Sam Hatch

The titular Quest should be taken lightly, as filmmaker William Gazecki seems more interested in proving it's theories by hiding his head in the sand when it comes to skeptics, and flaunting ‘proof' from a handful of dubious characters. One of the least capable documentaries ever made, instead of delving into the legitimately interesting phenomenon of crop circles in a balanced fashion, we're treated to interviews with yahoo after yahoo, each proclaiming that they know exactly what's going on, exactly where the aliens creating them come from, yet sadly not knowing exactly how little credibility they hold after one has to endure their verbal diarrhea.

If you, like myself, think that crop circles are an interesting occurrence and would like to view a solid documentary delving into both the hoaxes and the harder to explain exhibits, stay far far away from this film. In fact, pray that you get abducted, so that you may convince your captors to speed you light years away from this turkey. On that note, I will dub myself a so-called ‘expert' on Ufology and state that the creators of crop circles are beings from the planet Moblanonk, and that their circles are a form of alien pornography. I will now proceed to draft up some nebulous charts and graphs and…screw it, I'm just gonna swallow a bullet instead.

For some extra fun, stop by the IMDb and check out how many nine and ten star reviews this film has amassed. I smell a rat…
