08/28/2012 4:00 pm
08/28/2012 8:00 pm

Music scholar, and new Hartt faculty member, Mark Ferraguto, will join host David Schonfeld at about 6:00 on Tuesday, August 28 to talk about his research. Mark is a keyboard player (organ, harpsichord, piano) and recently completed his doctoral dissertation on the orchestral music of Beethoven, focusing on Symphony No. 4.

Mark will provide numerous recorded examples to illustrate his points. Tune in for a fresh look at Beethoven as well as several other composers.

Before Mark arrives, David will play a sixth rendition, by Andreas Staier and recently acquired by WWUH, of Bach's Aria with 30 Variations, the masterpiece David has been spotlighting on his summer broadcasts.
