Fall Fundraiser a Success!

WWUH is truly "listener supported" as 90% of our funding comes from our listeners during the two on-air fund drives we run each year.  Our listeners have always been extremely generous, a fact that we never take for granted.

WWUH is a non-commercial public alternative radio station.  The University Of Hartford provides us with a place to operate and some basic services, but the lion's share of our operating budget comes from our listeners.  Our 2025 Fall Fundraiser wound up on Sunday October 26 with Wild Wayne and The Rock'n'Roll Memory Machine.  We fell slightly short of our ambitious goal of $50,000, but close enough to call the Fundraiser a success.  Thanks to everyone who donated.

Since we came up a bit short of our goal we are hoping that people who missed the drive will consider making a donation online.  You can also just mail a check to:  WWUH, c/o University Of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford CT 06117.  Among the premiums we have as our way of saying "Thanks!" for your donation, we are offering a newly designed WWUH quarter-zip pullover!

I'm also thrilled to report that WWUH has been voted "Best College Radio" in CT for 2025 by the Connecticut Broadcaster's Association (CBA)!  This comes on top of our award last year for "Best Non-Commercial Station".  I'm confident that the folks who voted to bestow this high honor on UHart Radio took into account our 5+ decades of serving the public, the variety and diversity of our line up and the professionalism of our all-volunteer on-air staff. Thank you CBA!
